A 16-year-old boy, Abdulazeez Usman, has been declared missing in Ede, Osun State, AMILOADED reports.

Usman was last seen by his friends on Thursday, June 27, 2024, while charging his phone.

According to his mother, he came to eat at her shop, and then never came home since that day.

“He came to meet me at the shop three days ago, saying he wanted to eat, and I gave him food. We even ate together, and I asked if he had taken permission from his boss before coming to eat. He replied that he didn’t go to work, and I asked why he hadn’t gone since returning from school. He said it was because of the rain. I ordered him to leave my shop and go to work, but he pleaded that it was too late. I insisted, and he eventually left,” the mother said in a WhatsApp conversation with an AMILOADED correspondent on Saturday.

“That night, I expected him to come home, but he didn’t return. On the second day, I and his friends kept calling his number, but it was switched off. He didn’t come online on social media either. One of his friends told me that on Wednesday, when they were at an engineer’s shop charging their phones, he said he wanted to sell his phone, but the engineer said he wasn’t buying. I met the engineer, and he confirmed this to me as well,” the mother recounted.

The mother, Mrs. Idayat, confirmed that they have not yet reported the case to the police station, as they are still searching. She called on Nigerians to help them.
