IBEDC Speaks On Inability To Deliver On Stipulated Hours Of Electricity Supply

AMILOADED MEDIA HUB NEWS UPDATE

The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company has apologised for its inability to deliver on the stipulated hours of power supply to some of its Band A customers.

In a pictorial statement signed by its management titled ‘List of Band A feeders with unmet hours of service (15th, April 2024)’ the IBEDC attributed the fault to a system collapse in the early hours of Monday which affected all its 33kV and 11kV feeders.

According to the company, the restoration of the power supply has commenced.

It reads: “Dear Esteemed Customer, We sincerely apologise for our inability to deliver the estimated hours of supply on your feeder. This was due to an earth fault on the Olam 33kV feeder and an over-current, Red & Yellow Phase fault on the Iyaganku 33kV feeder.

“Kindly note that there was a system collapse in the early hours of today (0242Hrs) which affected all our 33kV and 11kV feeders, however, restoration of supply has started. We remain committed to supplying the estimated hours of supply. Thank you.”
