President Bola Tinubu has berated the National Labour Congress (NLC) for holding a nationwide protest in his nine-month-old administration.

The President stated this on Thursday, February 29, at the launching of the Red Line rail transit in Lagos State.

He said, “Allow me to throw a jab here, the Labour Union, you should understand that no matter how much we cling to our freedom and rights, you can’t force a strike within nine months of an administration, that is unacceptable.

“If you want to participate in the electoral process, wait until 2027, if not maintain peace, you are not the only voice of Nigerians.”

  1. Infact, this is a wicked government ever. In a democratic society, how can you be saying this when people are not comfortable with your government? You know how you criticized the opposition party when you were not yet in government. You now want to turn yourself to dictator. People should not talk when they’re not satisfied with the way you are ruling. This your government is the most terrible government ever. We have resources that can enrich us, yet you’re not managing it well. You’re now saying people should not express their dissatisfaction. You must be wicked, Tinubu. You disappointed Yoruba race, you disappointed the whole federation. This is not what you said when you were shouting ’emilokan, emilokan’ during your campaign. Tinubu, you a bastard.
