I Want To Make Heaven – Bode George Reveals Why He Won’t Attend Tinubu’s Swearing-In

AMILOADED MEDIA HUB NEWS UPDATE

A former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bode George, has said he will not attend the inauguration and swearing-in ceremony of Bola Tinubu, the president-elect.

During an interview with Arise TV, the elder statesman was asked if he would oblige and show up at the inauguration of Bola Tinubu if the Supreme Court sustains the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s declaration of the All Progressive Congress, APC, as the winner of the election.

George said he is not going to attend not because he hates Tinubu as a person but because he[Bode] stands for the truth and also for the fact that he is not a member of the APC.

“As a civilised and indefatigable Nigerian who has been trained by this nation both in the military, it’s not about Bode George, the question is, will the country be happy?

“Well, when they[the Supreme Court]deliver the judgement we’ll read it and our lawyers will interpret it for us. But to say that I’ll now physically carry myself to the swearing-in, when it’s not even my party, for the celebration of what?

“I pray that God will work on their[Supreme Court judges] minds because prayer is more powerful than ordinary human power. As Christian we must say the truth… It’s only the truth that’ll set you free. That’s what God wants us to do.

“I want to appear there on the day of resurrection. I want to be able to stand up to my creator. If they invite me I won’t go because it’s not my party. I don’t hate Bola. He’s not my enemy but we’re talking about issues that affect our nation.”
