Osun Reps Member, Bamidele Salam, Commissions 3 Classrooms In Sekona, Inspects Road Project

The lawmaker representing Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo federal constituency and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bamidele Salam, has commissioned a block of three classrooms built for Sekona Grammar School, Sekona in Ede South Local Government Area of Osun State, AMILOADED reports.

The commissioning, which was done by Kazeem Akinleye, the Chief of Staff to Governor Ademola Adeleke, coincided with the second term campaign of Salam in some wards of Ede South Local government.

The principal of the school, Mr Surajudeen Sodiq, said construction of three classrooms by Salam was the first infrastructural project witnessed by the school in the last fifteen years.

Sodiq expressed the appreciation of over 700 students, who he said have been yearning for new environment to learn, to the lawmakers.

The principal added that the facility will also increase the enrollment of students in the school.

“In the last fifteen years, no single infrastructural project has been done in this school. No building erected. I think this is as a result of the political leaning of Sekona but we thank God that Hon. Bamidele Salam has remembered us. This will go a long way in aiding teaching and learning of the students. The building was built to taste as it’s equipped with necessary facilities. We appreciate the lawmaker for this project,” he said.

Also speaking, the Director General of Bamidele Salam Campaign Council, Dr Bashiru Tokunbo Salami, said the commisioning of projects by the lawmaker has made his campaigns in the state easy.

He said the achievements and tracked record of Salam has made the job canvassing for votes and supports for Salam easy.

Meanwhile the lawmaker and his supporters visited three wards in Ede to meet with party stakeholders and loyalists.

He promised to consolidate on his achievements, while calling on electorates to vote all candidates of the PDP in the coming elections.

Salam also visited an ongoing road rehabilitation project he facilitated in Ede North and Ede South Local Governments of Osun State.

He said the contractors has assured of speedy completion before the raining season.

The first route of the rehabilitation is OLD BANK JUNCTION – OLODE COMPOUND – OJORO JUNCTION – LAPELEKE JUNCTION – ALUSEKERE JUNCTION – AGATE JUNCTION to ALAJUE JUNCTION which is currently having line drainage constructed while the Second route is AGIP FIRST BANK – OLOWOO BIIDA – THE GIDEON – OGBENRIN JUNCTION – SMALL GATE OF POLYTECHNIC and to AGBALE AREA being overlaid with asphalt.
