2023: Atiku Southwest Assembly Holds Summit, Says PDP Ready To Take Power From APC

AMILOADED MEDIA HUB NEWS UPDATE

The Atiku Abubakar Southwest Assembly on Thursday, held its 2023 Summit in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital ahead of the next year’s general election, AMILOADED reports.

Speaking at the event, the chairman of the Atiku Abubakar Southwest Assembly, Senator Felix Ogunwale, said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is ready to send the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to “where they belong, that is, the dustbin of history” in 2023.

Ogunwale said the purpose of the Summit was to set agenda for the PDP presidential candidate and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, to win the 2023 presidential election.

He said, “There is nothing to show that the ruling APC government has any solution to this. Their constant excuses are not only infantile but laughable. Should we continue to look on and allow this inept party to continue in power? God forbid.

“Even in the face of the alarming youth unemployment rate, the story of decay in tertiary education is pathetic. Out children have been at home for over six months and there is no hope in sight that they will return to their university studies anytime soon.

“Under the current administration, the lives of Nigerians have become so cheap. People live in eternal fear in the face of rampaging bandits and terrorists because their government is so hopeless and clueless.

“It is Atiku for us, there us no alternative to Atiku. Without voting Atiku in the next election, Nigeria may as well be on its way to Venezuela, if not Sri Lanka or Lebanon. These are important issues thar compel us to organise this summit.”

Other dignitaries at the event were Dr. Sunday Solarin, Akogun Kola Onadipe, Alhaja Babs Olorunkemi, and Alhaji Sodiq Obanoye.

Others were Oladimeji Fabiyi who represented Atiku, Soji Adagunodo and other chieftains of the party.
