The first driver to pass through the Second Niger Bridge, Sunday Emem, has expressed tremendous joy for reaching the milestone.
Emem, in an exclusive interview with Channels Television, said he was really happy with the development.
He said, “I feel so happy, at least it will reduce the hold-up. We’ve stayed over one hour at the other bridge.”
The Second Niger Bridge was officially opened to motorists on Thursday.
AMILOADED recall that Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola (SAN), and his team have inspected the Second Niger Bridge.
The Federal Government ordered the opening of the bridge for use starting from midnight on Thursday.
Fashola, who announced the opening on Wednesday, said the bridge would be open for use for one month during the Yuletide.
The minister while inspecting the bridge advised road users plying the bridge to drive safely and responsibly in order not to defeat the purpose of its construction.
