[PHOTOS]: House Of Reps Member, Bamidele Salam, Empowers Constituents In Osun

A member of the House of Representative representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency, Bamidele Salam, through his BSE4 Initiative, has empowered some youths and women in his constituency in Osun State, AMILOADED reports.

The event was held at Isiaka Adeleke hall in Ede on Friday.

The empowerment program which was monitored by Federal College of Horticulture Dadin Kowa, Gombe State had in attendance the representative of the College and head of ICT, Dr. Isa Nasir, rep Bamidele Salam, yeyeluwa Dupe Adeleke-Sanni, Alhaja Atinuke Oyawoye and other party chieftains.

Recounting his executed projects in the past three years of being in the House of Representatives, Salam spoke of about 12 bills he has passed which include transformers, classroom projects, payment of bursary to over a thousand students and other empowerment programs.

“We deemed it fit to continue this empowerment projects by including women and youths. We would also make cash grants available for our people within the range of #20,000 and #50,000. Please do not sell the equipment given to you,” he said.

He encouraged those who are not benefiting from the empowerment to patiently wait for theirs.

The lawmaker informed beneficiaries that the cake baking and confection, fashion designs training would come up in November.

Yeyeluwa Dupe Adeleke-Sanni who was present at the event referred to the late Alhaji Isiaka Adeleke a former Governor of Osun State as being the father of Representative Bamidele Salam whom she said is an actual son of his father for carrying out empowerment programs in the same format as the late statesman.

She said, “I congratulate all Ede constituent for such an industrious son like Bamidele Salam. He is really living up to expectation and we hope to see more.”

She implored party members to be patient, saying constituency project would get to them in due time.

Adeleke-Sanni however encouraged them to throw their weight behind the lawmaker in the forthcoming election.

On his part, Dr. Isa Nasir of the Federal College of Horticulture congratulated the beneficiaries on behalf of the provost.

He said he has witnessed more than he expected and enjoined them to give Salam 100 per cent of their votes.

Tablets were distributed to some persons, while other empowerment items were industrial sewing machines, manual sewing machines, freezers, motorcycles, generators, hair dryers, grinding machines, knapsack sprayers, and cash grants.

Adeleke-Sanni presented the items to beneficiaries who expressed their profound gratitude at the gesture.
