Transition Committee Member, Aderinwale, Hails Osun Governor-Elect For Prompt Inauguration, Assures Qualitative Contributions

The governor-elect of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has been commended for his “love and passion for a better and prosperous Osun State” with the constitution and prompt inauguration of the transition team, barely a week after his victory at the July 16 governorship election in the state, AMILOADED reports.

A member of the transition committee, Prince Folorunso Aderinwale, made the commendation in a statement he made available to newsmen, shortly after the formal inauguration of the committee on Thursday in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

Prince Aderinwale, a seasoned technocrat with Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission in Abuja, said the people of Osun State are assured of accelerated development within the shortest possible time, judging by the caliber and commitment of the transition team.

The Ifewara-born Prince expressed confidence that he and other members of the committee will turn out a report capable of assisting the governor-elect in his quest to salvage the state from the “prevailing social, economic quagmire”.

While expressing gratitude to Adeleke for the huge challenge extended to him as a member of the transition team, Prince Aderinwale expressed readiness to volunteer valuable contributions to enhance economic blueprints of the governor-elect, who he described as “a kind hearted leader, coming on board at a time the state is being stretched to breaking limits.”

He said: “Osun State is blessed with a vast economic friendly terrain, that if adequately tapped in full strength of it’s potentials, will certainly drive the state into economic sufficiency, away from the protracted civil service, PAYE driven economy.

“The state from all indications and available data, is already on a life support of forced tax regime, in which the already impoverished citizens have to drain themselves up to support the badly bleeding economy. Many of the Small Scale enterprises, in real economic realities, are either dead or gasping for breath, because they have been too choked to survive

“Taxable Citizens require an economic thriving environment for any government to reasonably enforce tax laws, either direct or indirect. Draining up businesses in a partly formal sector economy, without enduring support policies on the part of government, would certainly not stand the test of time, no matter the hard fist approach,” Aderinwale said.

Aderinwale, who is also an agro and allied business entrepreneur, further congratulated the people of Osun State for their exemplary show of courage in the July 16 governorship election, describing it as “a timeous impetus for Nigerians to take charge of their country, through the all powerful instrumentality of the ballot.”
