Osun 2022: Council Of Imams Asks Muslims To Vote For Ogunbiyi, Kunle Jimoh

The Council of Imams in Osogbo and Olorunda Local Government Areas of Osun State has thrown its weight behind the governorship candidate of the Accord Party in the state, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, and Imam Kunle Jimoh, the deputy-governorship candidate, AMILOADED reports.

In a statement issued by the secretary of the group, also known as Waliuthabau, Imam Rasheed Sulaiman, the group said the decision was taken because of the “integrity” of the candidate and his deputy.
The group added that another major reason why it supported the duo was because the Accord deputy governorship candidate was the Chairman of the group before his emergence as Ogunbiyi’s running mate.
“Imam Kunle Jimoh was the chairman of Waliuthabau in Osogbo and Olorunda Local governments. He is honest man, trustworthy and diligent.

“Alhaji Kunle Jimoh is also a pious Muslim, although he can never tolerate nonsense. If you vote for you, you vote for Islam.
“We are using this opportunity to appeal for all Muslims in Osun state to please vote for Accord during the Saturday’s election,” the statement read.
