The residents of Garage olode in Ife South Local Government Area of Osun State, on Saturday stormed the street to show their grievance of how the community has witnessed 12 Years total blackout.
The protesters, in their numbers mount every road linked to the town, with different inscription on the placard , calling the attention of the state government to find long lasting solution.
Recall that the State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola had in June, 2021, flagged-off the reconnection of the town to the national grid but the project has not seen the light of the day as darkness continued to persist in the town and its surrounding communities.

I was also graduate in Garage Olode grammar school in 2006-2007 Sessions.
I went there from r My Teaching Practice in 2015,No light except 3days campaign light that Fadahunsi ON and promised to pay for the fee.
Fadahunsi never won the election by then,and the light is temporarily OFF without any corrections till date.
It unfair now,the election that came out of that AYEPE COMMUNITIES no be small things now.
And Garage Olode election has adding to INCONCLUSIVE votes that carried OYETOLA as Osun State Governor. And you forgotten Olode which is very bad.
Just ordinary LIGHT,you couldn’t done it for them. Remember there vote can relegate ur vote if it counts out now.
So, please MR GOVERNOR ADEGBOYEGA OYETOLA, between now till ending of this month,do Garage Olode Lights. Because, they’re waiting for you till JULY election time.
