Omowaiye made the call at a mini empowerment program he organised last Sunday for selected constituents in Ilesa, Osun State.

The event was held in the commissioner’s quest to support the re-election bid of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

He said, “Leaders should lead with good examples, with fear of God and listening ears to their followers and people in their community, constant interaction between followers and leaders solve most of societal problems, a know attribute of Governor Oyetola.”

The Ijesa-born politician, at the empowerment program, distributed freezers, and 25 generators to traders and some APC members.

Omowaiye also gave cash support as business financial buffer to many others.

The high point of the event was the donation of a 43 inches smart TV and generator to one, Mr. Michael Adebisi, a graduate of Industrial Chemistry from the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU ), who is living with disability.

The commissioner had got wind of Adebisi’s request through a widely circulated video on social media, documented by BBC News Pidgin.

Adebisi expressed surprise to the prompt and kind gesture extended to him by Omowaiye and thank the commissioner for supporting his sports viewing centre business in Ilesa.

He said he came into limelight when popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, aka Davido, requested for proposals from 20 young Nigerians who are small business holders and entrepreneurs, which he also participated,

Adebisi said though he has yet to receive a response from the Davido.

The Osun commissioner, however, used the occasion to appeal to the music star Davido to also come to the aid of Adebisi.
