Explain Projects Executed With N150m, Constituents, CSO, Writes House Of Reps Member

A Civil Society Organization, Transparency and Accountability Group (TAG), has written a letter to the House of Representatives member representing Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin Federal Constituency, Hon. Afolabi Rasheed Olalekan, to request details of the lawmaker’s Zonal Intervention Projects for 2021, AMILOADED reports.

In the letter which was written by the Spokesperson on behalf of the Transparency and Accountability Group (TAG), Ayodeji Ologun asked Hon. Olalekan to provide information on the projects executed with the sum of N150 million approved to him as Zonal Intervention Project.

The letter read, “I write you on behalf of the Transparency and Accountability Group (TAG), to request details of your Zonal Intervention Projects for the year ended 2021.

“We   understand   that   Zonal   Intervention   Projects   are   meant   to   take development closer to the people through their Representatives and Senators in the National Assembly.

“We  also  understand  that  a  total sum  of One Hundred and Fifty Million Naira (150,000,000) was earmarked for one Representative as fund for Zonal Intervention Project In the 2021 Appropriation Act.

“We therefore request information on what projects this sum was expended on  and details  of  their  execution.

“We  are  certain as  a  group, that  this Accountability and Transparency in the discharge of your duties as a Senator, will help your relationship with your Constituents. Please note that we are relying on the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act in making this request.

“Receive the assurances of our warmest regards, as we expect your response to this request.”
