A House of Representatives aspirant in Ayedire, Iwo, and Olaoluwa areas of Osun State, Emiloju, has enjoined Christians to imbibe the spirit of love, sacrifice, and selflessness exhibited by Jesus Christ, the symbol of Easter, in their relationship with one another, AMILOADED reports.
Emiloju urged Nigerians, especially Christians to emulate the spirit of love, sacrifices, and forgiveness as we celebrate Easter.
Alh. Mudasiru Nurudeen Emiloju, in his Easter message issued by his media team, on Sunday, called on Christians to pray for the restoration of peace and tranquility in all the troubled places across the Country.
In his Easter goodwill message, Emiloju said emulation of Jesus Christ will only strengthen peace, and perseverance, and guarantee common trust.
He stated that Easter “is one of the most important feasts that emphasize Jesus’s redemption over death.”
“As we celebrate the death and the resurrection of Christ who offered himself as a sacrifice that atones for the misdemeanor of the world.
“His sacrifice symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness, hope over hopelessness, and good over evil; we must also admit that his resurrection was witnessed to ascertain Christ’s covenant with us all as fellow Christian.
“As faithful followers, we must also use this propitious opportunity to show love and other core teachings and guideline of Christ whose values ensure love, humanity, confident character, and forgiveness. It’s then good t ensure these values of Christ do not elude our daily dealings.”
He further enjoined Nigerians to “seize this period to pray for peace, security, and love for our dear nation to build common hope of a brighter and greater future for the country.”
