Governor Mai Mala Buni, Chairman of the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), met with President Muhammadu Buhari in London.
Buhari is currently on a medical vacation in London.
The meeting with Buhari held after the tension over the APC leadership crisis was doused.
Governor Sani Bello of Niger State had stepped in to take charge of the party, but the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) failed to recognise Bello.
Subsequently, Buni’s men regained control of the ruling party and commenced preparations for the party’s convention.
Daily Trust had reported how pro and anti-Buni forces shifted the battle ground to London.
