Some residents of Oke-Baale area of Osogbo, Osun State capital have recovered a new born baby reportedly abandoned inside a carton, AMILOADED reports.
The baby, said to be 11-day-old, was kept in a carton and was dropped at Omo-Odo Agba Street, along Ring Road in Osogbo before some people living in the area discovered the abandoned child.
A release signed by the Coordinating Director Ministry of Women, Children and Social Affairs, Mr Jide Falade, indicated the baby was found on February 25, 2022.
Falade explained that all efforts made by the police and the Ministry to locate her parents have proved abortive.
He, therefore, appealed to members of the public to assist in locating the relatives or parents of the baby.
