YEAR 2022: Making A Rebirth Of Osun – Omooba Dotun Babayemi

All residents and indigenes of voting age in Osun State have been charged to be part of the onerous civic duty of the vanguard for positive change in affairs of the state in the New Year, 2022.

A Governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Omooba Dotun Babayemi (ODB) gave this standpoint in a message to herald the new year.

According to the politician, the Year 2022 holds tremendous promise for Nigerians in general and those particularly of Osun State extraction who are expected to devote unflinching commitment at ensuring the formation of a government that will change their narratives for the better.

While specifically referring to how the current ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) administration has bungled every opportunity at its disposal to deliver on people’s legitimate expectations, Babayemi stressed that the moment to hold the bull by the horn is ‘now’, in view of the current numerous challenges facing the state. Omooba Babayemi further stated that Year 2022 presents a leverage for the people in a democracy to usher in those who will make its rebirth, a reality.

He noted the vigour already exhibited by eligible voters to put an end to tyranny, oppression, corruption and failed promises which have become synonymous with the APC led administration in the state in the past eleven years, adding that the betrayal of trust has raised the bar of public opinion against the continuity of APC as a ruling party in the state.

Omooba Dotun Babayemi therefore enjoined well meaning individuals and groups to welcome the new year with a call for all eligible voters to get and use their voters’ cards and see the beacon of hope which it holds for a transition from darkness into light.

The governorship hopeful further admonished all those who have attained the voting age but are yet to get their Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVC) to do so soonest with a view to effecting their desire for a better administration in the state and the country.

He charged all who believe in the hope of what the new year represents not to relent in preaching that message until a new dawn is established particularly in Osun State and Nigeria as a whole
