SEAD AFRICA Announces Graphic Design, Soft Skills Training For 250 Youths In Osun

A social enterprise organization, Social and Economic Advancement for Development in Africa (SEAD AFRICA), in partnership with WAVE ACADEMY, has announced a plan to train no fewer than 250 youths in graphic design and soft skills in Osun State.

According to a statement made available to AMILOADED by the Team Lead of SEAD AFRICA, Semih Adabanija, the program would be run over for 12 months.

The program, which would commence on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, would be held at Aimpeak Conference Hall, Omobolanle/Ofatedo Junction, in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

The statement read, “It gives us pleasure to inform you that our organization SEAD AFRICA in partnership with WAVE ACADEMY will be training 250 Osun Youths in graphic design and soft skills over the next 12 months.

“It is our firm belief that the training will reduce social vices, enable these youths to become self reliant and even go on to employ others.

“To this end, we are organizing an opening programme for the first batch of the trainees on Tuesday 31st of August 2021 by 11am. at Aimpeak Conference Hall, beside Grace Gas, Omobolanle/Ofatedo Junction, Osogbo, Osun State.”

SEAD AFRICA is a social enterprise organization focused on capacity building and training of young people in printing, branding, entrepreneurship and employability skills, organizing competitions and public awareness programmes.

Over 2,200 young people have benefitted from its training, competitions and advocacy projects in the last 4 years.

Some of the past and ongoing projects by the organization include “Entrepreneuship Training for Osun State University Students across their 6 Campuses. This is done in partnership with the Centre for Entrepreneurship of the University.

“Entrepreneuship and employability skills training for Students of Fountain University, Osogbo.

“Oraticle Competition for youths between 18-35 years. The Competition allows young people to present socially viable ideas, the best ideas are then being selected by a panel of judges for funding, implementation and monitoring.

“Electronic Tech Masterclass on Internet of Things for youths in Osun State, among others,” Adabanija noted.

WAVE is focused on leveling the playing field for young Africans to access economic opportunities, by turning motivated young talent into reliable human capital for local businesses.

WAVE inspires positive change in employer attitude creating a more inclusive and more productive labour market.
