The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is struggling to find its feet after the loss of several of its officials including the Chairman, Dr. Adegbola Dominic.
According to Daily Trust, there is confusion in the party over who is the authentic chairman as the battle for the office raged between Engr. Deji Doherty and Dominic till the latter’s death last week.
Dominic’s death was preceded by that of the secretary of the party, Prince Muiz Shodipe-Dosunmu. Both were said to have died as a result of complications from COVID-19.
A chieftain of the party in Agege, Engr. Auwal Tahir-Maude said many members are confused over the leadership of the party.
AMILOADED gathered through Daily Trust that currently, the party is said to be in disarray with its problem worsened by the recent loss of Dominic, Prince Muiz Shodipe-Dosunmu, its Lagos West vice chairman, Alhaji Monsuru Ajagbe and its women leader, Yeye Shola Oladehinbo.
When contacted yesterday for comments, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan, said he was not aware of the development.
