2022: Kunle Oparinde (MKO) Declares Interest In Osun Gubernatorial Election, Charges Youths’ Participation In Politics

Dr Musbaudeen Kunle Oparinde, popularly known as MKO, has declared his intention to run for the Osun governorship election in 2022.

AMILOADED reports that Oparinde would be be running on the platform of the Young Progressives Party (YPP).

Declaring his ambition during a meeting with the state working committee of the YPP in Osun State, Oparinde said the time has come for Nigerian youths to be centrally involved in politics as the youths involvement vanguard will start in Osun State with the 2022 governorship elections and gradually extend to Nigeria at large.

In a meeting with the state working committee of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in Osun State recently, he formally declared his ambition to run under the platform of the party stating that the time has come for Nigerian youths to be centrally involved in politics as the youths involvement vanguard will start in Osun State with the 2022 governorship elections and gradually extend to the whole of Nigeria.

At the meeting with the party leaders, the YPP State Chairman, Comrade Remi Ayanlade, commended the efforts of MKO as one of the conscious youths in Nigeria and encouraged as many youths as possible to also partake in politics and governance.

Ayanlade and the state working committee formally welcomed Dr Oparinde into the party as they were full of praises for the courageous path he has chosen to thread.

According to Ayanlade, “This is what we expect of Nigerian youths because if we can be united, we have what it takes to take the mantle of leadership.”

On his part, MKO stated that he has evaluated as many political parties as possible in Nigeria, and he is convinced that the ideals of the YPP align with his ideologies.

He further mentioned that not only did he choosing YPP for himself, but the entire movement referred to as the Fist which he created, including its members, are all pledging their allegiance to the party.

He, however, advised the residents of Osun State, especially the youths, to prepare themselves to join what he called the 3rd Force in the state by “becoming a member of the party and by working tirelessly and unitedly to move away from ineffective leadership in the country to an effective one that protects the interest of the people”.

  1. Im highly moved to see young and vibrant minds having the courage to chnage the political tides of things in the State. And im thank God u are running under a party without blemish. YPP is a party I think can rightfully right the wrongs of APC and PDP in Nigeria.
