Muslims have been admonished
to imbibe the salient lessons of eid-el- Kabir and emulate the humility good
neighborliness, understanding and love,
exemplified by the life of Prophet Ibrahim.
The Elerinmo of Erinmo Ijesa, Oba (Dr) Michael Odunayo Ajayi Arowotawaya the second gave the admonition while congratulating muslim
faithful in Erinmo Ijesa,Osun state and Nigeria as a whole on this year
Eid-el-Kabir festival.
The traditional ruler called on them to reflect the teachings of Id-el-Adha
which center on keeping faith with God and
total submission to His will.
According to him, they should remember the words of Allah which remind and harp on peity and exhibit same towards their
neighbours irrespective of social, ethnic
political and religious differences.
Oba Arowotawaya also implored Muslims and
non-muslims alike to use the opportunity cashing on the spirituality of the festive period, to offer special prayers for the nation and its leaders against the backdrop of the current security and economic situation.
The monarch urged political office holders to fulfill their campaign promises to the people as this will go a long way in alleviating their sufferings.
