A hit and run vehicle has killed a motorcyclist at the Malam Tope area, along Osogbo-Ikirun highway, in Osogbo, the capital of Osun state.
AMILOADED gathered that the accident occurred around 9:04 pm on Saturday when a red Bajaj motorcycle, with registration RLG153QC was hit by an unknown vehicle that led to the death of the motorcyclist who died on the stop.
Confirming the accident, Sector Public Education Officer for Osun Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Agnes Ogungbemi said the accident might probably have been caused by over speeding.
She said that the corpse was taken to Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo Morgue while the Boxer Bajaj Motorcycle was recovered and is in possession of the sector.
“The corpse was taken to Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo Morgue. Items Recovered: Boxer Bajaj Motorcycle,” she said.
