As Muslims in Osun State joins their counterparts all over the world to celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan,the Elerinmo of Erinmo Ijesa,Oba(Dr) Michael Odunayo Ajayi, Arowotawaya the second,has admonished Muslims in Yoruba land to pray for a lasting and permanent solution to the present security challenges facing the South West so that we can live in peace and harmony once again.
Expressing confidence that the challenges confronting the nation especially on security,will be a thing of the past in no time with prayers and cooperation of all and sundry.
Oba Arowotawaya gave the admonition in a congratulatory message to Islamic faithful on the success of the season, noting that it is a fulfillment of God’s injunction.
According to the traditional ruler, the sacrifices and piety associated with the holy month is a reminder to all Muslims on the need to show compassion, love and tolerance to one another, as well as other faiths. He further affirmed that this was demonstrated throughout the period.
Oba Arowotawaya opined that the good deeds and values shared during the holy month should be sustained, even as the season ends because these are the necessary tonics needed to promote peaceful co-existence among all Nigerians.
While wishing Islamic faithful of Erinmo in particular,Osun state in general and Nigeria as a whole a happy Eid el Fitri,he urged them to celebrate with moderation,and protect themselves maximally from the dreaded Covid 19 by obeying all the protocols against the disease.
