Olowu Of Kuta Cautions Against Ethnic Division, Calls For One Nigeria

The Olowu of Kuta, Oba Ahmed Adekunle Oyelude Tegboosun 111, has expressed his displeasure over moves by some quarters to divide Nigeria along ethnic-religious lines, AMILOADED reports.

Addressing a delegation of students under the auspices of Chamber of Nigerian Comrade in his palace on Saturday, Oba Tegboosun said patriotism should overshadow divisive tendencies capable of setting Nigerians apart in arms against themselves.

The Osun monarch cautioned against ethnic profiling of criminality and crimes, adding that such will create bad blood among ethnic groups who are expected to hold Nigeria together.

The traditional ruler further spoke against allowing foreign interference in issues that can expose Nigeria to ridicule and danger.

Oba Tegboosun cited the recent #EndSARS protest which was carried out with manipulations of individuals and groups with intentions to endanger security of lives and properties in the southwest of the country..
