BREAKING: Again, Protest In Osun Over Hike In Petrol Price, Electricity Tariff (Photos)

 

There is currently another ongoing protest in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State by students, youths, residents and others under the umbrella of Joint Action Front (JAF) who staged protest against the hike in petrol price and electricity tariff.

AMILOADED recalls that the JAF had on September 4, 2020 held a protest in Osogbo over the increment.

However, on Wednesday morning, the JAF protested again and took off from Freedom park in Osogbo around 9:00am.


The protesters displayed placards showing their displeasure over the increase in petrol price and electricity tariff.

Speaking during the protest, Comrade Olatunji Nurudeen, the Public Relations Officer of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Southwest said : “I spoke on behalf of South West Students in a very peaceful protest organized by Joint Action Front, Osun State chapter earlier today. I told the masses the readiness of Nigerian Students to shut down Nigeria if President Muhammadu and his officials don’t do the needful.

“As the Spokesperson of NANS SOUTH WEST, I painstakingly explained to Nigerians the demonic tactics of President Muhammadu Buhari led federal government to compound the conundrums of the citizenry.”
