Two Men Die In Osun Auto Accident

Two men on Monday lost their lives in an auto accident involving a Mack truck without number plates, a Honda Element with number plates GGG143AJ and a Bajaj motorcycle SMK124QR along Osogbo-Obokun road in Osun State.

The accident which occurred around 1:50pm led to gridlock on the road as men of the Federal Road Safety Corps battled to clear the scene and restore free flow of traffic.

According to sources, the truck had a failed break and rammed into the upcoming vehicle and the commercial motorcyclists killing the two persons at the spot.

Commercial motorcyclists at the scene almost lynched the driver of the truck but for the timely arrival of officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps.

Confirming the incident, the Sector Public Education Officer, Agnes Ogungbemi, said the corpses of the deceased have been deposited at the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital Osogbo.

Confirming the story, the Osun Sector Public Education Officer, FRSC, Agnes Ogungbemi, confirmed that two lives were lost in the accident.

She disclosed that the corpses had been deposited in the morgue of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Osogbo.

According to Ogungbemi, “The accident must have been caused by brake failure. Men of the Federal Road Safety Corps moved in immediately the crash occurred and cleared the scene.”
