Panic In Osun Community Over Murder Of Two

The residents of Ejigbo town in Osun State are currently living in fear following the gruesome killing of two persons in the town.

AMILOADED gathered that palpable fears gripped the residents of the town when some suspected hoodlums killed two persons in the town within the short period of five days.

Investigation revealed that on July 5, 2020 around 6:45pm, a 50-year-old man, Musibau Muraina, was reportedly dumped after his abdomen had been cut off in his compound, Oya Compound in Ejigbo.

According to a resident of the town, Mr. Ridwan Ojetola said: “The first person murder was confirmed to be a male. It was gathered from the people who came to witness the scenerio that the man went out in the morning to buy food and rested a bit after his return. He was still asleep when the murderers barged in, killed him, cut his abdomen, removed his heart, intestine, manhood and flew.

“It was the people of the community meeting which he always attended that discovered his absence at the meeting and decided to check on him and raised the alarm when they saw him laid in the pool of blood.

” The man was living alone in the house where he was murdered and this was due to his refusal to go with his relatives when they moved to their new house on a claim that the house would be empty if he also moved with them.”

Another person, Misratu Azeez was also found dead at Olori’s compound, Ejigbo, around 10:30 am on July 8, 2020.

“The second person murdered was confirmed to be a woman. It was gathered that the woman was popularly known as Iya Osun (the worshiper of osun deity) and she was murdered on her way home. The murderers removed her head and dumped her body,” Ridwan told our correspondent.

Findings conducted by AMILOADED shown that The Chairman of Ejigbo local government, Hon Teslim Ogunmola, was said to have reported to the police that the corpse of Misratu of Moye’s compound, Ejigbo, suspected to have been murdered, was found at Olori’s compound.

The remains of Mistura was reported to have been deposited to Adeeyo mortuary for autopsy.

Confirming the story, the Police Public Relations Officer in Osun state, Mrs Yemisi Opalola, said that one person has been arrested in connection with the death of Misratu.

She disclosed that investigations are ongoing to apprehend other suspects as the state Criminal Investigation Department will soon have the case file.
