Mass Burial Looms In Osun As LAUTECH Hospital Moves To Decongest Morgue

The Management of Ladoke Akintola University Of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, Osun State has given go ahead to families who have corpses from their morgue.

This is because the mortuary in the hospital are getting congested and if after two weeks there is no claim by relatives, the hospital may be compelled to carry out mass burial.

This was made known to our correspondent through a public announcement made on Radio Stations in Osogbo on Tuesday by the Management of the hospital.

According to the announcement, “The management of LAUTECH teaching hospital Osogbo hereby call on the members of the public especially those who have corpses in the mortuary unit of the hospital to come and remove them within the next two weeks”

“We appeal to relatives who have corpses in the mortuary unit of our hospital to come and remove them. Please it should be noted that decongestion of the morgue is a routine exercise has nothing to do with the current pandemic COVID -19 infection.

“All Bodies not collected within the two weeks of this announcement may be packaged for mass burial.”
