All is now set for the much awaited mass defection of members of the Social Democratic Party,SDP, in Osun state, under the Kosemani group,to the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP in the state.
Barring any unforseen circumstances,the home coming of thousands of the SDP members into PDP will be witnessed by party stalwarts and faithful at the PDP South West unification rally,holding in Ibadan capital of Oyo state on Wednesday 18th March,2020.
Among prominent members of SDP that would lead others back into the PDP fold with pomp and pageantry are Mr Hamzat Folaranmi,Deputy state chairman and chairman planning committee for the return to PDP, Engr Adetoye Ogungboyega, Senatorial chairman Osun West & chairman contact committee ,Pastor Tunde Hamzat- State financial secretary,Alh Musibau Shittu, state treasurer,Alhaja Iyabo Oyedele,state woman leader and Mr Lekan Obisakin,state welfare secretary.
Others are,Hon Emiola Fakeye, Leader Ijesa South Fed constituency,Alhaja Yekini Tawakalit, Leader, Iwo Fed constituency,Sooko Elugbaju Kemade, Leader, Ife Fed constituency, Hon Sola Ayandirin, leader Osogbo/Olorunda Fed constituency,Hon Adekunle Adeoye
Leader, Ayedaade Fed constituency,Mr Kanmi Adelani, Leader Egbedore, and Alhaji Badiru Raheem Leader, Boluwaduro Fed constituency.
The train also include,Alhaji Kamil Buhari,former Supervisor for Agric and Former secretary of PDP, Ejigbo local government,Mr Musbau Salau,former secretary of PDP and present secretary of SDP, Hon.Taofeek Yusuf ,former PDP youth Leader and Hon. Rahmon Bakare, former supervisor for Education Ejigbo local government.
Party chairmen from Ayedire, Iwo,Ayedaade,Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, Boluwaduro,Ifelodun,Atakunmosa East,Osogbo, Olorunda,Obokun and Boripe local governments would not be left out in the mass defection.
It would be recalled that the Kosemani group,consisting 80 percent of SDP members under Otunba Iyiola Omisore that garnered 128,000 votes in the last gubernatorial election in Osun State, decided to part ways with the party due to what they tagged high handedness and selfish interest of the flagbearer
