We Are Set To Go Back To Where We Belong – Osun SDP Members

Prominent members of the Social Democratic Party are making moves to return to the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State.

To make this a reality, the SDP members under Kosemani group have asked PDP in the state to ensure that total peace reigns in the party.

Disclosing the condition for their planned return, Ex Osun chairman of SDP, Dr. Bayo Faforiji, called on PDP leaders and chieftains in the state to resolve its present crisis to fast-track the return of Kosemani Group into the fold of the party.

Dr. Faforiji, while speaking at the meeting of Kosemani Group, at its secretariat on Sunday in Osogbo, said Kosemani Group left SDP because Senator Iyiola Omisore had turned the party to his personal property and was using it to enrich himself at the expense of members.

He said the decision by SDP not to field candidates in the 2019 general elections was wrong and maintained that the party would continue to be used as personal property by Omisore in the future.

He commended the Senator representing Osun East in the Senate, Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, as well as Osun PDP chairman, Soji Adagunodo, for their support and encouragement for Kosemani Group.

Faforiji said, “we fought out of PDP before we left the other time, we dont want to fight again. We implore the party to put its house in order. We had planned return to the party on 14th February, AMILOADED confirmed.

“But issues in PDP had forced us to put the plan return on hold. By Middle of March this year, we will announce to you our decision. Remain calm and steadfast as we continue to plan our next line of action.”

Briefing the meeting of its findings, Hamzat Folahanmi, who headed the Kosemani Group committee working on the next line of action, said the group left SDP since October last year.

Folaranmi said the group would move to another party in March and urged members to remain steadfast and committed to the cause of Kosemani group.
