BREAKING: Osun Traditional Rulers Suspend Oluwo For Six Months

Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, was on Friday suspended for six months by the Osun State Council of Traditional Rulers.

A committee headed by Orangun of Ila, Oba Wahab Adedotun, was also constituted by the council to further investigate the matter involving Oluwo and Obas in Iwo land.

The royal fathers at their emergency meeting held at Osun State Government Secretariat, Abere, presided over by Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, arrived at the decision to suspend Oba Akanbi.

Briefing journalists at the of the meeting which lasted for about three hours, the Orangun of Ila Orangun, Oba Wahab Adedotun said: “Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi has been suspended for six months.

  1. The Oluwo has for the time past been behaving as someone who make use of cocain and heroin.
    How an Oba of his calibre raise his hands against another Oba?
    It is indeed absurd, he should be dethroned, because of other shameful things unbecoming of Obas that he had done.
    Is it not a shameful thing for him to change the title of Oluwo to Emir of Iwo?!
