Why Ikirun Deserves Proposed College Of Education – FIKSU

Federation of Ikirun Students’ Union (FIKSU) has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to site the proposed college of education in Ikirunland.

The Union argued that the town deserves to host the Federal College of Education because “Ikirun is vast, wide, accommodating, rich and prominent and has made it the resolving town among others to house such institution.”

In a release issued by the Union’s national Public Relations Officer, Olaniyan Hamid Kayode and signed by the National President, Com. Giwa Teslim Tobatele and National General Secretary, Lawal Afeez G called on authorities in the country to ensure that the college is situated in Ikirun.

“The attention of our union has been drawn to the news that Mr. President has proposed to establish colleges of education in 6 states of the federation, of which Osun State has been Luckily selected to be one of the benefitting states.

“We convey our congratulations to all indigenes of Osun State. Thus, all things being equal, it is an obvious fact that the deserving town for situating such an institution in this state is Ikirun land.

“Among all the advanced towns which has neither Federal nor State owned institution in this state is  IKIRUN.

“Ikirun is vast, wide, accommodating, rich and prominent and has made it the resolving town among others to house such institution.

” It’s our humble request to all stakeholders in the helm of affairs of this state and the country at large that this institution be rightly situated in our town.

“As well, we urge all progressive minded youths and ever diligent students of our dear town, to employ the Social Media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook e.t.c.) in making the world understand our contention,” the release issued from the Akirun’s palace, the National Headquarters of FIKSU reads.
