BREAKING: Kwara Govt Demolishes Saraki’s Ancestral Home Amid Public Protest

The Kwara state government at early hours of Thursday commenced the demolition of the late Olusola Saraki’s accestral political home, Ile Arúgbó, in Ilorin.

It was gathered that the building was demolished after the security operatives dispersed protesters including aged women within the complex vicinity in the night.

The Government on Wednesday around 2am tried to demolish the structure but it was met with a protest as people around gathered to pursue them away.

  1. Your headline is misleading and drafted to sway public opinion against what the Kwara government was public land illegally acquired by the late Senator Olusola Saraki. The building demolished, according to reports, were constructed by the late Senator whose ancestry in Ilorin has been widely disputed. Yes, buildings were demolished, but not any “ancestral home” of the Sarakis in Ilorin.
