Kaduna State Begins Payment Of N30,000 New Minimum Wage
There were wild jubilations today after the Kaduna State Government paid its workers the new national minimum wage, N30,000.

The state has officially become the first state in the country to implement the new N30,000 minimum wage.

It was recalls that in August, following the approval by the State Executive Council, Governor Nasir el-Rufai’s Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Mr Muyiwa Adekeye, in a statement disclosed that the Kaduna State Government said it would begin the implementation of the new national minimum wage of N30,000 in September, 2019.

The government, however, said the implementation of the new minimum wage would increase the monthly wage bill of the Kaduna State Government by 33 per cent.

Confirming the development, a Kaduna-based lady identified as Maryam Abubakar said; “Kaduna State is the first state to implement the new N30,000 minimum wage.

“There is jubilation in the state as workers have started receiving salary alerts for the month of September
