BREAKING: May 29 No More public holiday As Buhari Signs June 12 Democracy Day bill

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday assented the Public Holiday Amendment bill into law.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang, made the disclosure to newsmen after the signing ceremony.

The new law allows public holiday to be declared on June 12.

Henceforth, May 29th will no longer be public holiday but handing over date and working day.

Meanwhile, Wednesday has been declared public holiday by the federal government.
