Famurewa Charges Electorate To Avoid Violence During OSHA Election

The lawmaker representing Ijesa South in the House of Representatives, Hon. Israel Ajibola Famurewa has admonished eligible voters in Osun State to desist from any form of electoral violence in the Osun State House Of Assembly election holding today, March 9.

In a release made available at the early hours of Saturday, Famurewa said, it is imperative for residents of Osun, including voters to shun violence during and after the election.

The onetime candidate of the All Progressive Congress for National Assembly election held recently noted that the nation’s democracy would only be sustained in a atmosphere of peace if every form of electoral violence and malpractices ia avoided.

“As we are set to, once more, exercise our franchise today, I urge our dear people of Osun, especially eligible voters to shun violence.

” The development and growth of our dear state is anchored on peaceful environment and this election should not be seen as “do or die affair,” Famurewa said.
