Bamidele Salam Thanks Ede Federal Constituents, Says ‘My Victory Is For You, I’II Not Disappoint You’

The House of Representatives Member-Elect, Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency, Barr. Bamidele Salam of the Peoples Democratic Party has thanked his constituents for electing him promising that they would not regret voting him.

He promised to make laws that will better the lives of his people.

In a press release made available to us by his media aide, Salam stated that the victory is for the people of his constituency and called on other contestants to cooperate to heal the divisions that the election may have caused.

The press release reads fully: “It is with a deep sense of honour, humility, and with gratitude to God that I accept my election as the Federal House of Representatives Member representing Ede Federal Constituency.”

“I thank the good people of Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Local Government for reposing confidence and sustaining trust in me. You are the heroes of the struggle, and I shall ever be grateful to you for your faith and sacrifice. I appreciate you.”

“At this juncture, let me appreciate my wife and family, teeming supporters, party members, and various support groups for their undying love and unflinching support through the course of this electoral battle. I will never be able to repay your kindness and steadfastness. I am immensely grateful for your support.”

“I must particularly thank the Adeleke dynasty, for the immense support given to me in the course of this election. I do not take this for granted and will ensure that the tenets of service to the people that the dynasty is known for is sustained.”

“Also, I want to use this golden opportunity to salute my brothers, who answered the call for democracy and contested for this seat. This victory is not for me, but the victory is for all Ede Federal Constituents. I believe that together we will heal the division of this contest, for the overall development of our federal constituency.”

“To my constituents, I promise not to disappoint you with my representation in the National Assembly. l promise to make laws with my fellow lawmakers that will better our economy. Our redemption is on the horizon, and with your support, better days are indeed possible again,” the release ends.

Salam defeated his closest rival, Rt. Hon. Rafiu Adejare Bello in the keenly contested election with 2,128 votes.
