Osun CoS Appointment: APC Chieftain Advocates For Ife Federal Constituency

A Chieftain of All Progressives Congress in Osun State who preferred anonymity has vehemently denied the purported controversy reported online  on Friday 30th, 2018 that the “first son of the immediate past governor of the state, Mr Kabir Aregbesola, a former Commissioner for Innovation Science and Technology, Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye and former Commissioner for Sports, Special Needs and Social Protection, Comrade Biyi Odunlade had been penciled down for the CoS appointment”.

The party leader said considering the sensitivity of the position in any government and the dire need of the new regime of someone who  understands the civil service and who the teeming civil servants in the state could trust,
the position is meant for a thorough bred administrator, someone who is very accessible to all and sundry and at the same time very calculated who can bring all stakeholders on board”.

The APC chieftain also borrowed  the words of immediate past Governor of the State Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola  who said a CoS must be a Governor de facto,  coolheaded, brilliant and bureaucrat person.

Besides this, based on political permutations, the APC Chieftain said the Governor and deputy Governor of the state were from the central and west senatorial districts respectively which means that in the executive ranking, Osun East senatorial district would definitely produce the Chief of Staff of the State.

In the same vein, the Osun East is divided into two power blocs; the Ijesha’s and the Ifes while the former produced the immediate Governor of the State for 8years, the current minister of health and also the senatorial ticket of the party has been given to the Ijesha’s.

With all these political permutations, it is save  to say the CoS should be zoned to Ife federal constituency for justice, equity and fairness, he concluded.
