FILSU ELECTION: Press Club Set To Hold Debate For Aspirants

All is now set for the debate being organised by Iwo Press Club in conjunction with the Independent Students Electoral Commission(ISEC) of Federation of Iwoland Students Union.

The debate which is set to hold on Monday 31st of December 2018 at Iwo City Hall is to ascertain the level of preparedness of each aspirants and what agenda they have for the Student union peradventure they get elected.

In a statement jointly released by the Press Club and ISEC members on Sunday, they said, “This debate is all about citizen engagement and will be devoid of any rigmarole or mind control attempt in favour of any particular candidate.”

They however call on FILSU Alumni, NGO’s, Civil Society Organisations, Educational Support Groups and the general public to be part of this landmark event.

The Press Club had earlier slated Thursday 27th of December for the debate before the date was changed to accomodate all interest.

The debate is one out of many activities the Press Club has lay down to give Iwo the SPOTLIGHT she deserves.
