Barely four days into the administration of Gboyega Oyetola as the 5th democratically elected governor of Osun state, a former commissioner under the Rauf Aregbesola administration, Engr. Remi Omowaiye has hinted that at least one PHC will be revitalized and made functional under this new government.
In a live interview monitored on Channels television on Friday evening, while answering question on the child and maternal mortality rate, he said Gboyega Oyetola will ensure the state health insurance scheme is strengthened so as to cater for the teeming population and the PHCs will play a significant role in the process, the committee that will see to the revitalization may be inaugurated next week by the governor.
Responding to other questions on economy and job creation, Omowaiye eulogized the immediate past administration of Aregbesola for the massive infrastructural development which is the foundation upon which we shall open up the economy of Osun to investors and industries, as the governor will organize an economic summit within 100days for improved IGR in the areas of agriculture and mining exploration, as such jobs will be created for the unemployed, he concluded.
