After Its Flag-Off At Ejigbo Today, Oyetola Free Medical Outreach Continues Tomorrow In Osogbo

The 10-day-free medical outreach instituted by the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola officially kicked off today, Saturday, September 8, at the Unity School, Ejigbo in Osun state.

This outreach is part of Oyetola’s efforts to meet the urgent medical needs of residents and citizens of Osun.

A statement issued and signed by the organiser of the outreach revealed that medical experts and specialized surgeons have been assembled to attend 10 different centres across the state.

It further disclosed that a minimum target of 10,000 patients would be diagnosed and treated.

According to the statement, the main objective of the free health programme is to bring instant relief to all sick and diseased persons, provide hope for the hopeless and make life more meaningful for the average Osun man and woman.

“General and Eye Surgeries that will be performed during the 10-day long event include hernias (adult male and female, including children), lumps removal, hydrocele, undescended or retractile testes, eye surgery for cataract patient and tooth extraction. Surgical treatment and follow up will be free.”

At the flag off ceremony, the minister of health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, Speaker of the state house of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Folasayo Najeem Salaam, Commissioner for health, Dr. Rafiu Isamotu, The CMD OAUTH Ile ife , The CMD LAUTECH Teaching Hospital , Dr Simeon Afolayan Chairman Osun Health Committee and other important dignitaries were in attendance.

The statement added that open registration for free surgeries will commence tomorrow, Sunday, September 9.
