The Ifelodun/ Odo-Otin/Boripe federal constituency has endorsed Prof. Adeolu Durotoye as the next governor of osun state.
In a well attended meeting of local executives and PDP stakeholders held in ikirun on Friday 6th of April 2018, Prof. Adeolu Durotoye was unanimously adopted as the best candidate who has the best chance of defeating the APC government in the state, come September 22ND 2018.
This followed an earlier adoption of Prof. Adeolu durotoye by the Osogbo /Olorunda /Irepodun Orolu Federal constituency as its sole candidate on the 1st of April 2018 for the governoship poll.
Professor Durotoye was described as ” highly cerebral, accessible , resourceful, locally bred, globally exposed, experienced, an astute administrator of men and resources and easily accessible.
Party members present at the meeting therefore urged PDP leaders in the state to do the right thing by selecting Prof. Adeolu Durotoye as the PDP governorship candidate , advising that the PDP cannot afford another 8 years out of power in the state, and that the suffering masses in osun state must be rescued by the PDP.
Finally, professor Adeolu Durotoye responded by saying that he will not disappoint Osun people when he is elected governor.
According to him, ” my government would create 200,000 thousand gainful employment in the first 12 Months of our Administration.
We will achieve this through private investment and public /private partnership. Good governance is 80% Economics and 20% politics . So I will focus more on reviving the dead economy of Osun state. I will fulfill his pledge and make my manifestos a reality and through this, Osun will be prosperous again. My ambition and vision is for service and not for self interest. “
