Taawunu’, an ideological Islamic movement has just ended its 19th annual conference held in Iwo, Osun state on 31st of December, 2017.
Present at the closing ceremony of the conference included the state Governor, Mr
Rauf Aregbesola, the Oluwo of Iwo kingdom, Oba AbdulRasheed Akanbi, Chief Amitolu Shittu among other dignitaries.
Part of the activities that marked the closing ceremony were public lectures delivered by two prolific writers and scholars, Abu Mazeedatilkhayr Bn Sa’eed and Ustadh Abdullateef Abdulhammed Muheebyllah.
Speaking at the ceremony, the founder and the Amir of Tawuunu’, Sheik Daood Molasaa expressed delight at the success of the programme since it commenced and warned against derailment of the Islamic movement.
According to Sheik Molasaa, “to the enemies within and outside who are sponsoring or being sponsored for the derailment of this classic Islamic movement with a clear vision and mission, restrain.
“This annual conference, like the previous years is another taste of classic and unique experience. The participants only can tell the loaded experience and knowledge, they gained during the event.
Explaining the mission and vision of yhr movement, Sheik Molasaa said “what we are in the real sense is an Ideological Islamic movement propelled by the Sunnah of prophet Mohammed Bn Abdullah SAW. We are not an association or society. We exist for all Muslims (Islamic Humah), we serve them without discrimination. We balance our relationship and existence with our government and the none-Muslims. Protection of the interest of Islam is the core of our mission and finally, we dream and work toward a golden goal of Global Islamic Caliphate.
“As a movement, we are Muslims with a burning consciousness of the feelings, rights and privileges of a Muslim or group of Muslims anywhere in the world, be it Palestine, Burma, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, U. S, Britain e. t. c. It is one of the reasons for our existence to directly or indirectly stretch support to a Muslim or group of Muslims who are cheated anywhere in the world.
“As movement, we are friend of all; we defend, protect and serve Islam and Muslims. As long there is law and order in our society, we are a movement that fully respect law and order as same LAW has guaranteed our freedom of religion.
“The main essence of law is to create and sustain orderliness, peace and unity. As long as we live in a society functioning under a functioning law, we are reliable, law abiding and explorer of law provided it does not contradict the Law of ALLAH. Tawuunu is not for itself but for Muslims.
“Few of our previous members cannot cope with Tawuunu existence as movement, they will enjoy a society or organization that they prefer, and we wish them best of luck in their sojourn. As for Taawunu’ the struggle continues as “…we are coming”
