The National Assembly Is Aware of Your Hardships, 2018 Will Be A Better Year, Lasun Yusuff Tells Nigerians

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Sulaimon Lasun Yussuff has appealed to Nigerians to give President Muhammadu Buhari a chance to address some of the problems facing this country.

Yussuff told Nigerians that the National Assembly was aware of the hardships the country was battling saying the lawmakers were working with the executive arm of government to ensure that the living conditions of Nigerians were better in 2018.

In his new year message to Nigerians which was contained in a statement made available to Amiloaded correspondent by Wole Oladimeji, the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Speaker, Yussuff said this country could only develop in the atmosphere when peace reins, asking the citizenry to eschew‎ violence, bitterness and suspicion.

“For the nation economy to thrive, there is need to look inward and start thinking on how to diversify the economy and make agriculture, science and technology top priorities.

“National Assembly is aware of the hardship in the country, therefore the leadership of the National Assembly is working with the executive in ensuring that 2018 is better.

“All necessary laws that will help President Muhammodu Buhari to succeed will be passed, therefore, there is a lot of hope in the coming year,” the deputy speaker noted.

He further appealed to Nigerians to exercise more patience and allow the president to rid the nation of corruption and Boko Haram so that the nation could move forward. ‎
