Osun State Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Hajia Latifat Giwa has commended the State governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and Dangote Foundation for empowering thirty thousand women across the local government areas in the state.
This commendation was contained in a statement made available to Amiloaded on Friday by Hajia Giwa.
She specially appreciated the governor for his regular support for the course and development of women in the state.
Hajia Giwa stated that the Ministry of Children and Women Affairs commenced verification of the selected women across the 30 local government areas and Modakeke.
The commissioner added that the exercise which kick started on Wednesday is expected to end on Friday 20th October, 2017.
The empowerment scheme is in line with the social intervention programme of the Osun State government.
1. The Governor of the State of Osun is fulfilling his obligation in the state following the six point integral agenda, where one reads, “to banish poverty”.
The empowering 30,000 women by the State governor and the Dangote foundation, is enough to make the state wealthier, not only that but to help develop the state socially and economically too.
I commend Aregbesola and Dangote foundation for remembering women in the State of Osun.
