Oluwo Of Iwo Becomes Grand Patron Of Osun Police Community Relations Committee

On Wednesday, the Oluwo of Iwo Empire, Oba Adewale Akanbi Ilufemiloye Telu 1, was honoured by the Inspector General of the Nigerian Police as the Grand Patron of the Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC.

Others honoured with him were the Governor of the State, OgbeniRauf Rauf Aregbesola and former Inspector General of Police, Dr.  Solomon Arase.

It’s quite interesting to see that a monarch who was labeled earlier this year by a mercenary king and his sponsors is now the grand patron of a faction of the Nigerian Police just a few months after.

But do you know where the mercenary king is? Do you even remember his name? He has been abandoned by his sponsors who manipulated him and has moved from obscurity to cheap popularity and then to oblivion. And he has recorded his names, with his own hands, in the black book of Iwoland forever.

As Sikiru Ayinde Barrister posits, “tí irọ́ bá lọ ní ogún ọdún, òdodo á ba ní ẹsẹ̀kẹkẹ̀…” Ola Rotimi wrote, “When the evil-plotter beats his drum, for the downfall of the innocent, the gods will not allow the drum to sound”.

I rejoice with you my Kabiyesi, #EmperorTelu1, on this new honour. Your name will live forever.

Long Live the Empire.
