Osun Minority Leader charges Muslims As They Begin Ramadan Fast

The Minority Leader of Osun State House of Assembly and honourable representing Ife East State Constituency Hon. Safiriyu Akinwale Akinwole(OMILAJ) has urged all Muslims faithful in the country especially the good people of Osun State to offer special prayers during the period of Ramadan fast for sustainable economy in the State and Nigeria, rapid socio-economic development and betterment of mankind.

In a statement to mark this year’s Ramadan fast, Hon. Akinwole charged the Muslim faithful to imbibe the spirit of holiness and self-discipline as they join the global Islamic community in undergoing the spiritual purification of Ramadan.

He called on all Nigerians, “Muslims and non-Muslims alike, to strive to imbibe in greater measure, the virtues of piety, self-discipline, tolerance, equity, fairness and sympathy for the less privileged which the Ramadan fast promotes”.

He also urges that “we need to use this period of Ramadan to cry unto Almighty God with fasting and prayers to look down to the cases of Nigeria. This country is seriously undergoing the the toughest and hard time. The period average Nigerians cannot afford three square meal per day, businesses are not moving, economy is lopsided, the level of corruption keeps increasing on daily basis. So we need the intervention of God to put an end to our cases”.

He prayed that God Almighty will grant the prayers of the faithful during Ramadan and reward them bountifully.

He wishes the Muslim community a successful and spiritually gratifying Ramadan fast.
