Miss Adegbite Adepeju was crowned as the 2017 “Miss Tourism” while Miss Odeyin Oluwakemi was Crowned “Queen of Osun”.
The Deputy Governor of the State, Otunba Titi-Laoye Tomori was the mother of the day ,she also advised the youths of nowadays most especially osun youths to say no to premarital s*x, drug abuse and bad habits.
while dignitaries from all works of life were at the fun filled event. The CEO of Rave FM Mr. Femi Adefila, Former Chairman of Nigeria Society of Engineers Osun Chapter Engr. Felix Ibitoye (Kilomodemo), renowned presenter Mr. Olusola Ajala, Ace Nollywood Actress Yeye Toyin Adegbola (Ajoke Asewo to re Mecca) and host of others also graced the historic event.
Hon. Kayode Oduoye in his brief address admonished the contestants and the youths to support their skills and talents with qualitative education. He also advised the would be winners and the Organiser to use their office to Promote our Cultural Heritage, preach against social vices and encourage girl child education.
Oduoye made the statement while delivering his speech as the Chairman of the 2017 edition of “THE QUEEN OF OSUN/MISS TOURISM” at the Atlantis Civic Centre, Osogbo.
It was an array of Performances as different talents and skills were displayed by individuals and groups. The most exciting moment was the performance of the wife of Dr. Kayode Oduoye, a Nollywood screen Diva, Chief (Mrs) Mosun Filani-Oduoye and Yeye Toyin Adegbola (Ajoke Asewo to re Mecca) as they entertained the audience with their dance steps
In their respective Speeches Chief Mrs. Mosun Filani Oduoye and Yeye Toyin Adegbola pledged their support for this wonderful event in subsequent editions to come, so as to discover more youths with skills and talents from Osun.
The event which was fully supported by Atlantis civic center, franbolly, and international breweries.
