Ooni of Ife visits Alaafin of Oyo for the first time in 79 years.

Yesterday Sunday January seventeenth history was made when the new Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II paid an unforeseen visit to the Alaafin Of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi who was commending his 45th crowning ritual commemoration on the throne. It was the first run through in 79 years that an Ooni of Ife will visit an Alaafin of Oyo, taking after a chilly war of amazingness said to have been in presence between the (past) two rulers for more than 7 decades. The last time a ruling Ooni of Ife went to an Alaafin was in 1937. Oba Ogunwusi while talking at the thanksgiving administration said however he was not welcomed, he needed to try to come in order to end the war and encourage solidarity inside of the Yorubas both home and abroad. "I am here today, however not welcomed, but rather as the Arole Oduduwa, the onus is on me to congratulate with all children and little girls wherever they are and to demonstrate my solidarity for them. I am prepared to damn any results or hints from anyplace; my main goal here is to lecture peace among countries of Yoruba both home and abroad and I am prepared to work with Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Olayiwola Adeyemi to extend the solidarity and love which existed in days of our ancestors." The Alaafin of Oyo communicated his fervor at seeing the Ooni in his space " "This uncommon visit was done toward the end in March 1937, that was the first run through the lords in Yorubaland met in Oyo town and today history was made with the visit of Arole Oodua, Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II and I feel charmed to host you and to promise you that I will be prepared to work with you. I had a heartfelt association with Ooni Adesoji Aderemi and I would not like to yield my bound with any Ooni of Ife that accepted the post however everyone has his own particular little differences."he said
