The governor of Anambra State, Chef Willie Obiano stormed Adazi Nnukwu area in the state to see for himself the damages done by the strange fire that razed down a block of shops near St Andrews Catholic, Church in the wee hours of Thursday.
Consoling the shop owners whose businesses worth millions of naira were completely destroyed, Gov Obiano represented by his Deputy, Dr Nkem Okeke expressed shock that live-savings of Ndi Anambra could be burnt within minutes
He promised that the State Government will make adequate arrangements to take care of the situation while urging the people to always observe the basic safety rules. Firemen and officials of the State Emergency Management Agency were seen rendering necessary assistance
